Consoveyo Enters Key Asian Market
Consoveyo will deliver to Thai Tobacco Monopoly (TTM) in Thailand, regional market leader for tobacco production and distribution, two high-bay fully automated warehouses: one for raw material - tobacco leaves bales stored in carton box palletised over Euro pallets - and one for finished goods - cigareettes cases packed in carton boxes and palletized over Standard pallets.
The raw material warehouse will consist of 4 stacker cranes with aproximately 10 meters high, and it will be designed for an overall capacity of 1900 pallets. In addition, the finished products warehouse will be equiped with 6 stacker cranes with aproximately 10 meters high, for an overall capacity of 4700 pallets.
In both systems fully redundancy will be achieved by the use of a transfer car located at the back side of the warehouse allowing the interchange among the different stacker cranes and allows the parking of a spare crane at a dedicated maintenance area.
In the raw material system, the tobacco leaves bales will be stored, divided, mixed and sequenced fully automatically by using conveyors and rail guided vehicles, in order to provide the necessary mix and the required quantity of each type to the production machines. Additonally a radio frequency identification (RFID) technology tracking system of the different operations performed will be implemented.
In the finished goods system, cigarette cases will be conveyed, tracked and sorted to a dedicated area where they will be palletized, using robots, over standard pallets which will be then stored in the automated warehouse. The tracebility of the process will be ensured by using RFID and scanning reading stations. Finished good pallets will be sorted, sequenced and buffered in the expedition area according to the customer shipping notes.
For both systems, the warehouse management system inconso WMS X will be used, a solution developed by inconso.
Consoveyo designed the system in order to guarantee full automation in the process with maximum redundancy and reliability and minimum energy comsuption and maintenance requirements. For TTM this project reflects the company‘s pursuit of excellence, with the integration of the best state-of-art fully automated solutions in the tobacco industry.
